very good

(+1)

when you release a mod for the GOG version.

Please release an update with the official Subsistence translations.

The fan translations are not that good, but there are much better official translations made for MGS3: Subsistence, which is also on the GOG version and the HD Collection.

I like this. I own, the original 8-bit version on my PS3. It is also sold on GOG too. I like many of the improvements

Played this for an hour on the cd32 but was unable to complete it. Was wondering if it's possible to create saves so I could pick up where I left off after turning the system off? Seems like you can only save at the checkpoints but once the system is rebooted all of those saves are lost.

Hey Haywire

So the game doesn't have any CD32 support apart from the controller.  I'm not sure how you are playing it but I'm guessing it must be via WHDLoad?  Are you starting it from a hard-drive/workbench setup?  If so then you probably need to change the write cache settings in WHDLoad or make sure you exit the game with the quit key each session to ensure it saves the data to hard-drive.

If you're playing from a CD32 disk I'd be very interested in how because I've never built one or know of anyone who has!

Yes I have it on CD32 if you want I can send you the iso/image file.

I hope you didn't pay for that!

Unfortunately it's just not going to work unless you have a hard drive and run the whdload from there.  If you have a floppy drive or gotek attached I would suggest running the adf instead as that will save.

As for this CD32 version in general, it's not by me so I can't support it.

I wonder if it would be possible to port this to GBA

I hope you can still add the official translation here.

The official translation is the one released as part of MGS3: Subsistence on PS2 and MGS HD Collection on PS3 and X360, as well as the GOG version.

I would also love PS1 controller support with controls similar to the MGS3/HD port.

Great port, great music!  Love the fact that the Amiga is still getting new developments in the 21st century!

Hello, how good looks the game... you've worked on it, the game is very good, congratulations, do you know if there will be a physical edition? Do you think it's possible to make a port later for amstrad cpc cassette or disk?

This is soooo good. :D

Thank you so much for this!

I am waiting for you to hopefully do this for Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake as well. And I hope for an update that includes the official retranslation of Metal Gear 1 made for Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the GOG release.

Thanks :D

Sadly don't hold your breath got MG2. I would really love to do it but the disassembly task on it is HUGE.  Who knows, maybe I'll start it at some point.

Great work. Thanks a lot. I hope u continue to make Amiga games :)

Thanx -a-lot, I enjoyed this classic MSX port very much and played it via vAmiga on OSX! Cheers Bart (Holland)

I am having issues with vAmiga on OSX loading any games.  I am using the included AROS kickstarters.

very good

thanks :D

Absolutely fantastic. The ADF didn't boot on my 1200 but the WHDload install worked flawlessly. The new soundtrack is amazing too and including so many options is a great touch.

Thanks for the nice words.  There is a fix for the ADF booting issues and a few other small niggles coming in the next couple of days hopefully.
